If you are looking for support as you navigate: a challenging fertility journey, birth trauma, a prenatal or postpartum experience of loss, or any of the difficult transitions included in motherhood, I encourage you to book an intake call. We will establish what your therapeutic needs are, take the initial steps in creating an understanding therapeutic relationship, and begin working towards a holistic vision of what your healing journey will include.

My passion for serving and supporting mothers originated in the work I have previously done with teen mothers. Getting to know these women, hearing their stories, and witnessing the lack of accessible perinatal mental health supports played a substantial role in growing my interest for this work.

However, it was my own personal experience with becoming a mother that truly allowed me to understand and empathize with how challenging and unexpected this journey can be. While this journey is unique for each mother, the resiliency required by all mothers is not recognized or discussed nearly enough.

My vision is to see a world in which mothers are heard; where they are supported through the unpredictable and vulnerable moments they endure; where they are honoured for their strength and continuously growing capacity; and where all versions of motherhood are recognized.

I believe that motherhood is a wonderful and joyous experience that can occasionally become lonely. Motherhood is a rollercoaster of emotions that is constantly changing and often confusing. Although it may be difficult to predict and navigate, the unknown elements of this journey also bring incredible opportunities for connection. Utilizing a Nervous System Informed approach, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Grief Counselling, and various trauma therapies, I know we can navigate this rollercoaster together.

I love working with moms and families because they are always evolving. While this can also be challenging, it highlights how there is always opportunity for positive change. My personal mission is to provide a space for moms to share their story without judgement. By offering a place where moms are met with compassion, understanding, warmth, and empathy, there will be greater opportunities for healing.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology with a specialization in Family Studies from the University of Alberta. Additional certifications and trainings include: Omanitew Cultural Training, Peacemaking Circle Training, and Trained Facilitator in Positive Discipline.
