MC, Registered Psychologist

I’ve always had a passion for connecting with others through meaningful conversations and vulnerability. This isn’t always easy, and I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, open, and fully yourself. My hope is that we can build a relationship that makes coming to therapy feel comfortable, supportive, and genuinely worthwhile.

I welcome anyone seeking support, but I have a particular passion for working with new moms as they navigate pregnancy, postpartum changes, shifting roles and identities, and the emotional demands of this season of life. The perinatal period is often described as a time of joy, connection, and love—and it can be. But it can also bring enormous emotional, physical, and psychological changes. Your body is doing something remarkable, your identity is shifting, and suddenly there is a whole new person to care for. With all of these changes, it’s common to feel more anxious, low, overwhelmed, or simply unlike yourself. You might find your mind getting stuck in worry—about the baby, your body, your relationships, or whether you’re doing things “right.” You may feel constantly on edge, exhausted, or overwhelmed, or at times flat, disconnected, or unable to access the joy you expected. Many of these experiences are common, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate them alone. Therapy can offer a space that is just for you—a place where you can be honest about the parts of this experience that feel confusing, heavy, or even scary, without fear of judgment or pressure to have it all together.

When stress or overwhelming emotions begin to feel stuck in your body, finding a sense of calm can be easier said than done. Together, we can get curious about what your mind and body need to feel safe, build coping skills that actually work for you, strengthen resilience, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

I have training and experience in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows me to tailor therapy to your individual needs and goals. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for those healing from trauma and seeking deeper emotional relief. If you’re unfamiliar with these approaches, feel free to book a consultation—I’d be happy to explain how they work and how they might support your healing.
